Some things really are too good to last.
After three years, one of the last remnants of pandemic life went the way of our sourdough starter and dalgona coffee obsession.
I’m talking about continuous Medicaid coverage.
On April 1st, the feds repealed the law that states could not cut off Medicaid for people who don’t qualify, which means as many as 14 million people could lose coverage.
Here’s what you need to know:
● States were to begin coverage renewal on April 1st.
● You can not have your coverage terminated before then.
● It’s critical to ensure that you understand your eligibility and still have the right coverage for your needs.
So what can you do?
Well, you can check to see if you’re still eligible. You can also review any other coverage you have (private or through your employer) and check to see what your coverage gaps are. You can also do a deep dive into what insurance plans currently offer and decide if you need to make changes.
This one’s my favorite (but I admit I might be a little biased): you can also work with a financial advisor who can help you review everything and get you the coverage you actually need.
